ART IN THE PARK
Phone: 519-253-6382
www.artintheparkwindsor.com

Art in the Park was first organized in 1970 by the Windsor Art Gallery, who was at that time the occupant of Willistead Manor. The first event welcomed guests from all around Ontario including an unannounced guest: Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, W. Ross Macdonald. In 1978, the event was given to the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) to continue this great annual tradition.
The event continues to grow and change to accomodate its visitors needs, as shown in 2007 when Willistead Manor was opened for the first time ever for free tours. The guests enjoyed a historic “walk through time”, as the original architectural plans of Willistead Manor were presented by the original architectural firm. Also showcased were historical photos of the Art in the Park event, Windsor, Walkerville and Hiram Walkers
