PRIDE Flag Raising Ceremony

Windsor-Essex Pride Fest, now in its 35 year, invites you to join us for the annual Flag Raising Ceremony that kicks off our festival each year, this symbolic event brings to light why our annual festival of diversity is so important to the 2SLGBTQIA community.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 1:00 pm at City Hall Square to celebrate the official opening of the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest.

MC’d by Windsor’s own Mel Lucier, featuring guest speakers along with Windsor-Essex Pride Fest Board of Directors, local dignitaries, community leaders, allies, supporters and our 2SLGBTQIA community as we come together to show their support for this important community, cultural and tourist attraction in Windsor and Essex County.
