The Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR) was founded in 1987 and aims to end Canada’s HIV epidemic by leading national strategies to increase prevention, testing, treatment and linkage to care, and to end HIV stigma. Fueled by fundraising, CANFAR supports research, builds awareness and cultivates partnerships.

We believe that caring for the whole person is necessary for managing HIV and maintaining a good quality of life. We also believe that such care must be kept confidential. It is essential for you to know that everything you share with us is kept to ourselves. Your medical file is kept at our clinic and no one has access to your information without your written consent. This even includes employees of Windsor Regional Hospital outside of this clinic. Services include HIC Care Clinic, Pharmacy, Clinical Trials, Anonymous HIV Testing, Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PREP and more.
