We're More Than Just a Festival

Windsor-Essex Pride Fest (WEPF) is an incorporated not-for-profit organization in the Province of Ontario. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, WEPF brings together members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Queer, Questioning and Two Spirit (LGBTIQ2S) community, their friends, allies and supporters in celebration of the unique spirit and culture of our community by providing advocacy and producing inclusive and safe events, initiatives and social programs. WEPF strengthens the sense of community and contribute to the vibrancy, health and overall well-being of LGBTIQ2S individuals in Windsor-Essex.

Windsor-Essex Pride Fest’s goal is to empower LGBTIQ2S individuals through it’s social and recreation programs and facilitate opportunities for connection and belonging to reduce social isolation. This is done through age-specific activities, peer-facilitated groups, workshops and special events/initiatives.

Our Community Resources Directory is provided as part of the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest’s mandate to contributes to the vibrancy, health and overall well-being of persons in the LGBTTIQ of Windsor-Essex and surrounding communities. This directory serves as a guide to community groups & associations, recreation & leisure pursuits, as well as social services and helping agencies in and around the region of Windsor-Essex.

Run for Rocky
Run for Rocky Legacy Project has partnered with Windsor-Essex Pride Fest to host the Run for Rocky Event on Pride Fest weekend. The 5 km Run/3 km Walk will take place on Saturday, August 6th beginning at 10 am at Dieppe Gardens. Complimentary shuttles will take participants to Lanspeary Park where the Run for Rocky After Party will begin at 11:30 am featuring entertainment as well as winner and total funds raised announcements. The Run for Rocky Run/Walk will continue to fund local GSA funding and will additionally support Windsor's LGBTQ+ agencies. A portion of the funds raised through this year's R4R event will also be donated to the Windsor Pride Community, Windsor-Essex Pride Fest, and Trans Wellness Ontario. The cohesive effort of all of these agencies working together ensures that our LGBTQ+ community and their families in this region are supported by strong services that meet the needs of the community. A free shuttle will run from Dieppe Gardens to Lanspeary Park compliments of Windsor-Essex Pride Fest.

Pride Fest Parade
Show your PRIDE at Windsor-Essex’s most colourful event! Held since 1992 and 31 years later, our annual Windsor-Essex Pride Fest Parade will be held during the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest at Lanspeary Park on Ottawa Street in Windsor, Ontario on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 11:00 am beginning at Argyle Road (Market Square) and proceeds down Ottawa Street to Lanpeary Park. The parade and festival is attended by the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, their allies, friends, family, and supporters. Our festival focuses on bringing all different segments and groups together to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and its accomplishments while raising awareness of ongoing challenges including discrimination, exclusion, harassment, and assault. We really do offer something for everyone, and this family-friendly event should not be missed. Grab brunch on a patio and watch the excitement stroll by, or better yet, round up some friends and be part of this terrific event. Pride Day
After our fabulous pride parade is done, join us at Lanspeary Park and show your PRIDE at Windsor-Essex’s most colourful event! The day will have live entertainment, and special performances and will also feature food and merchant vendors, activities, and much more. Over 50+ vendors in our Pride Fest Marketplace will have everything from apparel to gifts, art to food and beverage.
